Step-by-Step Fix: Weather Station Offline

  1. Confirm the console itself is still working. Check the console display — if local sensor readings (temperature, humidity, pressure) are still showing correctly, the station hardware is fine.   2. Power cycle the console or WeatherLink hub. Unplug from AC power, remove backup batteries, wait 30 seconds, then restore power. This clears temporary network faults and forces the console to re-establish its connection. Wait 5 minutes for the connection to re-establish before checking the app.
  3. Check your router has not changed its Wi-Fi configuration. A router firmware update, ISP-issued modem replacement, or manually changed network name will disconnect any device that was previously connected. Confirm the network name (SSID) and password have not changed since the station was set up.
  4. Verify the router is broadcasting 2.4 GHz. All consumer weather stations require 2.4 GHz — they cannot connect to 5 GHz networks. Log into your router admin panel and confirm 2.4 GHz is active. If your router merged both bands under one name, temporarily separate them to allow the station to find the correct band.
